A pinch of baking

** doing away with baking soda will not affect the overall taste of the dish

Cooking method

1. Heat the water in a pot until it boils, then add the milk. 

2. Wait for 5 minutes before adding the ground barley seeds, flaxseed meal, ground milk thistle seed and pine nut flour into the pot. To avoid lumps, stir the mixture vigorously, while adding all the ingredients into the pot. 

3. Cook for a few minutes and then add a pinch of baking soda. After three more minutes of cooking, add the date syrup.
